Wine has been grown in Koblenz since the 5th century, when the Romans settled in Koblenz. Due to the steep locations, the Middle Rhine Valley and the Moselle region are ideally suited as cultivation areas. In this region, Riesling is known for its piquant, fruity acidity. In addition, grape varieties such as Pinot Noir or Dornfelder are grown here.
